Mr. Fagen, an associate, concentrates on property tax appeals, civil litigation and land-use development law. His tax practice focuses on representing municipalities and major industrial taxpayers. He regularly appears before the Tax Court of New Jersey and county Boards of Taxation throughout the state.

In his litigation practice, he represents businesses and individuals in a range of commercial matters. Mr. Fagen’s land-use practice focuses on representation of commercial, residential and retail developers as well as individuals seeking approvals. In that capacity, he appears before planning and zoning boards as well as county agencies.

At a prior firm, he acquired substantial experience in plaintiff-side property tax appeals, representing taxpayers in courts throughout New Jersey and New York and obtaining substantial assessment reductions for his clients. In earlier positions, he gained experience in civil and criminal litigation, as well as regulatory law. He worked on behalf of clients ranging from small businesses to one of the nation’s largest investment banks.

Mr. Fagen began his career as an associate at the national law firm of Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., after graduating with honors from Columbia University School of Law, where he was a staff member of the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review.
